IBS-STL names new executives. IBS-STL Global appointed former Zondervan president/CEO Doug Lockhart as President/CEO of its North American operations. Lockhart replaces David Passman (who is retiring) 1 January. IBS-STL also named former Zondervan executive VP/publisher Scott Bolinder president of IBS-STL Global Publishing, replacing Steve Johnson, who is moving to the new role of communication/new media VP. Marketsquare Asia 2008 Breaks Records With 43% more attendees in Hong Kong and Seoul, Marketsquare Asia 2008 proved itself a valuable event for suppliers targeting the Asian market. Publisher participation grew 63% in Korea alone; nearly 100 mainland Chinese came to Hong Kong. Indonesian Christian Retail Expo a Major Event CBA Indonesia’s Indonesian Christian Retail Expo 2008, 12-13 Sept., drew about 10,000 attendees and nearly 225 exhibitors in the world’s largest Muslim country.
